Engine Removal – Part 4

by Scott Slusser | Jun 22, 2012 | Photos

Engine oil drained and the engine upside down to tear into the bottom half.
Oil pan removal. Some of these bolts did not have enough room for a ratcheting wrench.
Take off the engine mount (Block is upside down)
Oil pan off and first look into the block. The oil pump is a sump. The crankshaft is visible.
A few more pictures for my benefit when rebuilding time comes.

A few more pictures for my benefit when rebuilding time comes. You can see the timing roller chain under the timing cover.

The Fiat 850 Project

The Fiat 850 Project is a chronicle of the restoration process of a 1971 Fiat 850 Sport Spider.  I use a combination of my own images and images/tables/logos I found on the internet while I was doing research. If you own one of these images, please let me know and I will credit you or take it down.
